A Mega Box card and a give-away!

Hi Everyone in blog world. Brad is here again posting at your leisure. I recently acquired this pretty cool Bowman mega box card of Rhys Hoskins. There has been lots of talk on local radio about his May slump but I think he will be fine and start hitting the long ball again.

Super shiny..

I do like these cards. I've searched several targets this year and have yet to find any 2018 Bowman mega boxes. Worth a shot though. At least that's what I tell myself after wasting 5 minutes walking around target and not buying anything.

Ok.. onto the thing that most of you actually wanted to see. The potential giveaway. I've spent several days/hours this weekend going through my trade boxes (non hits) (my hits box is only one 800 count box that isn't full) I weeded out all the cards I don't want anymore to create space. It's a mixture of 80's 90s some early 2000's. I'm guesstimating around 10-15k cards. I am willing to give it away and pay the shipping costs. I did not pull hall of famers so plenty of good players in there. There is no Phillies cards cause the next project is to sort those and figure out what sort of doubles etc I have. If you are interested in receiving multiple flat rates from me for free please leave a comment. I'm asking nothing in return except enjoy the cards. If *no one* wants them then you will force me to go through and pull the hall of famers out and then I'll be recycling the rest.

Thanks for reading and I hope someone wants the enjoyment of a lot of cards! If multiple people want them I will random. I'm almost done sorting so you guys have a few days to comment and then I want to try and start boxing them up.

The Rare Top Prospect card -- that actually made the majors!

As all of you readers know I am not a prospector. I enjoy watching and reading about the game but I don't have the time or the money to buy stashes of guys and then try and sell em all back into the world at the right time all while hoping to make some sort of profit and not lose 5k or whatever. I do like looking at other people's stashes though that's always interesting and sometimes they do  hit on the right guys just have to wonder how many random autos they have left over that are worth a buck or 2.

This is the card I am eluding too..

Austin Meadows Red auto out of 5 pulled by my wife at the 2016 National. I actually had this one graded not too long after and it came back in very nice condition. Considering we threw it in one of those COMC boxes without a penny sleeve (in hindsight not the best idea) during the national. Thankfully nothing bad happened to any of those cards. Even though this card was pulled from a pack I am trying to prospect it. It is definitely up for sale or trade if anyone has any interest. Regardless it's a pretty card and I wouldn't be overly upset if I ended up keeping it.

Also Austin Meadows is starting out well.

Through 3 games batting .455 with a HR and a SB. Clearly he's the next Mike Trout..

It's my Birthday today!

I know I've been slacking in posting, but wanted to get something up today in honor of my Birthday! (how self serving I know) Regardless, I had already celebrated a few weeks ago by hosting a Phillies tailgate. Had a nice turnout as well 17 people came to the tailgate and 11 people were able to attend the game afterwards. Can't complain about that. Thankfully picked a good weekend. If I were to pick this weekend the game was literally rained out. My Wife and I ended up going to the game on Sunday to see DeGrom vs Nola. DeGrom lasted one inning because he threw 800 pitches (really over 40) but it seemed like 800 and somehow gave up no runs and no hits. It was a rather odd stat line. Nola looked decent, the Braves were getting mostly singles and he only gave up one big hit to Cespedes. All in all was a good time and the Phillies won!

This is an on-card auto of Ryan Howard from 2003 Diamond Kings. The picture cracks me up so I had to get this one. He looks genuinely annoyed that some pitcher decided to pitch inside to him! How dare they!

Anyway, hope everyone had a nice week and continues to enjoy life!

Another Rookie Auto!

This is my 3rd elite auto. I would love to have all 100 but some of them on ebay are priced kinda high (300+ dollars) I'm not willing to spend that unless I hit the lottery sometime in the near future.

I do like these cards though. Want to hoard them all! Side note, I'm currently watching Cobra Kai.. it's a lot better then I thought it was going to be. Go Phillies!
